FAQs:

How much Fuel will I save?  It depends on the amount of HHO and the type of engine. The average gain for gasoline engines is 25%, diesels average 42%.

  • How does it work?  Our Drycell HHO Gas Generators produce a large amount of Brown's Gas (HHO) that mixes with the intake air going into your engine. Once inside the combustion chamber the Brown's Gas acts like a catalyst in the combustion process, making the process more efficient. The result is less fuel used in your engine to produce the same amount of power. The technical answer is that Brown's Gas reduces the endothermic energy required for combustion.
  • What powers the Dry cell?  The Drycell Generator is powered by electricity (12v) from your vehicle's electrical system. The draw is about 2-10 amps per cell so the additional load on your alternator is small. Even are largest cell only requires 30-40 amps.
  • I read elsewhere in your site that HHO is made from water. Will this work in the winter?  Yes, it will work in the winter just fine. It has been tested in very cold temps in Canada down to -30 F°. In addition to the distilled water in the electrolyzer there is lye that allows the current to flow through the water. This lye/water mixture does not freeze in cold temperatures, rather it forms a slush. This slush mixture still produces Brown's Gas. We also carry a microprocessor controlled heating element, that can be installed in the water tank to prevent freezing.
  • How about assembly? How difficult is it?  Most of our units are pre built. These kits are designed for the backyard mechanic in mind. If you change your own oil and do some basic preventative maintenance yourself, you shouldn't have a problem building and installing one.
  • Will the installation of the HHO System void my warranty?  No! It is against Federal law for an aftermarket product to void the manufacturer’s warranty.
  • What if I lease my vehicle?  The installation in not a major Process With some care the installation can be very cleanly done and wouldn't be more of a job compared to installing a new stereo in your car. While you should look at your lease agreement the slight modification done to your car is minimal.
  • What if I have a Hybrid car?  A Hybrid still has a gasoline engine in it that will benefit in mileage gains.
  • Can I just run my vehicle on Brown's Gas altogether and not buy gas again? An internal combustion engine can be powered only on Brown's Gas. The problem is that it takes a huge amount of Brown's Gas to do this. A small 4 cylinder engine requires about 3000 liters per hour just to idle. A vehicles alternator cannot produce enough electricity to power an electrolyzer of this size.

 Mileage Gains:

Below are some examples of mileage improvement and cost saving with the installation of a Complete HHO system. Current price of gas $2.03. This is updated every few weeks or so according to the average price of gas according to www.gasbuddy.com  The 3 year estimate is based on the current price of gas plus a 13% price increase per gallon per year. Historically over the past 5 years the price of gas has increased 13% per year.

Last update - Dec 10, 2009 - Price - $2.03 per gallon

Example - Truck at 15 MPG - driven 12,000 miles per year

  • Your yearly fuel cost is $1624.00. With a 20% gain in mileage you would save $324.80 in the first year, and a savings of $1106.56 over a 3 year period.

Example - SUV at 20 MPG - driven 12,000 miles per year

  • Your yearly fuel cost is $1218.00  With a 20% gain in mileage you would save $243.60 in the first year, and a savings of $829.92 over a 3 year period.

Example - Average minivan at 25 MPG - driven 15,000 miles per year.

  • Your yearly fuel cost is $1218.00 With a 15% gain in mileage you would save $182.70 in the first year, and a savings of $622.44 over a 3 year period.

  • Your yearly fuel cost is $1015.00  With a 20% gain in mileage you would save $203.00 in the first year, and a savings of $691.60 over a 3 year period.

Please note -our systems are gaining an average of 25%, the above examples are 15-20%. This shows how a small change can save a lot of money.

Your HHO System will last for many years saving you fuel along with a cooler, cleaner running engine making less pollution. In case you sell your vehicle the system is easily taken out of your current vehicle to be installed in the next one.
